It runs on nearly all Windows devices (PC, notebook, 2-in-1 devices, tablets). MEmu is a brand new * FREE* Android emulator that brings fun of the Android experience to Microsoft Windows devices. MEmu - The Most Powerful Android Emulator Just to mention it again, BlueStacks was easy to install in Virtualbox, but I hate it for their advertising policies. I have tried several, and they all have network issues, or crash if I sneeze. If anyone knows of an Android OS image that really can run well in virtualbox, then pass me a link. Of course, the alternative is to install an Android image in my Virtualbox instead, but I have yet to find one that actually works (stable). That's why I do not wish to install MEmu as a Windows EXE file, but instead run it in my own instance of virtualbox. Sandboxing gives excellent protection against all kinds of threats, and installed apps can only see each other if I choose to let them. Almost everything runs just fine in virtualbox, and in doing so, everything is kept nice and clean, and I can discard apps easily and rest assured that absolutely no traces are left behind. I nowdays install and run very few Windows Apps natively in my host OS. If MEmu is delivered in an exe file with a runtime version of virtualbox embedded, surely it must be possible to have MEmu as a stand alone image (ova, ovf, vmdk or whatever) without a Virtualbox backpack so that I can load and run it in my own copy of virtualbox?īecause I do not want to install yet another Windows App on my Windows OS host that scatters DLL's and other files all over the place, and fills registry with stuff. All I found was several different Windows executable (*.exe) files. I'm sorry - but I was unable to find any OVA files. ![]()
